Gloria E. Ward, DDS, MS, MIS
Dr. Gloria Ward earned her first D.D.S in her home country of Colombia, South America from CES University and received a Master of Science in Periodontal Prosthesis. She moved to Virginia in 1999 and obtained a Master of Science in Dental Materials and later on earned her second D.D.S. degree – Magna Cum Laude – at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003.
In addition to practicing comprehensive & esthetic dentistry, Dr. Ward has a special interest in Sleep Apnea and works with multiple Sleep Specialists in the area. She also speaks Spanish fluently.
Dr. Ward has had a part time faculty appointment at VCU since 1999 (full time member from 2003 to 2006). Most frequently, she has been working with the Oral Surgery residents in the planning and execution of complex treatments. Among other activities, she is past president of the Richmond Dental Society, Fellow of the Virginia Dental Association and International College of Dentists, holds membership in the American Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, American Association of Dental Sleep Medicine, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Pierre Fauchard Academy Honors Societies. She belongs to multiple study clubs in town and has participated on several mission projects with the Virginia Dental Association and VCU School of Dentistry. She has been a member of the Board of Advisors for the General Practice Department at the VCU School of Dentistry, a delegate for the Virginia Dental Association and Secretary of the Richmond Dental Society. Dr. Ward has been selected multiple times by her peers and awarded “Top Doc” in Richmond Magazine and Virginia Living Magazine.
Renata Camino Navarro, DDS, MS
Dr. Renata Camino Navarro, DDS is a Prosthodontist with advanced expertise in comprehensive restorative care, full-mouth rehabilitation, and implant dentistry. She earned her dental degree—graduating at the top of her class—from Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico City. After practicing as a general dentist, she pursued advanced training in Prosthodontics and completed a three-year residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry, where she also earned a Master of Science. She went on to complete a one-year Oral Implantology Fellowship at UNC, a focused training program in placing and restoring dental implants using advanced techniques
Following her training, Dr. Camino served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics within the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. She continued as an active adjunct professor while working in private practice at Cary Prosthodontics in Cary, NC.
Dr. Camino has recently relocated to Richmond with her husband, a Richmond native, and is excited to join the local dental community.
Her clinical interests include full-mouth rehabilitation, implant prosthodontics, and digital workflows that enhance interdisciplinary communication, streamline care, and improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Camino Navarro is a published author, an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists and The Academy of Osseointegration. She is a recognized Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), a Study Club Director, and a member of the Women’s Implantology Network.
Outside the office, Dr. Camino enjoys yoga, running, and hiking. She was inspired to pursue dentistry by her mother, who is also a dentist and remains her greatest role model—both professionally and personally. Dr. Camino values warmth, empathy, and connection, and is deeply committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that restores not only smiles but also confidence and well-being.

Susan - Patient Care and Team Resources Manager
Susan was born in California and grew up in Virginia Beach. She has called the Richmond area home since 1999. She began her career in dentistry in 1997 as an assistant and has had the opportunity to work in many aspects of the dental office. She likes seeing the transformation of her patients’ smiles. When she is not at work she enjoys DIY projects, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She really wants a dog but has not found the right one yet!
Cathy - Business Administrator
Cathy was born and raised in California. She graduated from San Joaquin Valley College and obtained her Associate of Science degree in Business Administration. Her interests shifted towards dental and she began her dental career in general dentistry in 2005. She enjoys helping people with their dental needs and bringing a smile to their faces. In 2022, Cathy married the love of her life and moved to Virginia. Where she has enjoyed the change of scenery and has enjoyed the food and art scene of Richmond. Some of Cathy’s interest and hobbies are volunteering her time teaching others about the bible, traveling to other countries, has a passion for plants and loves to discover new restaurants and wineries with her husband.
